Activity Bar Assembly Activities

Our assembly participate in parades, funeral honor guards, confirmations and will be represented at the fourth degree exemplification held annually at the Sheraton Hotel in Lisle, Illinois on the second weekend in February.


Honor Guard Training

This training session will discuss how the Guard Should be conducted. This is a Great Opportunity for everyone to get trained. The Honor Guard Manual has changed over the years and a lot of Sir Knights are not aware of the New Changes. Come to the Training and help us look Sharp and Dignified. Watch for future training opportunities.

Bishop's Burse

Each year, the Knights of Columbus Joliet Chapter hold a dinner in support of the Bishop of the Diocese. Councils and Assemblies within the diocese make a donation to the Bishop to continue the ongoing work within the Diocese.

The Bishop's Burse Dinner is generally held during November. Look for future announcements.

2024 Naperville Labor Day Parade
and Picnic!
Monday Sept. 2, 2024


We are looking for Knights, Sir Knights, Friends & Families that would like to join us to march in the parade!


PARADE:
Our delegation will be led by Sir Knights in Uniform. If you don’thave the uniform, we encourage Sir Knights, Knights in council shirts and shorts as well as families to march with us; we need your help passing out Tootsie Rolls!

A shuttle bus will be provided from the Judd Kendall VFW Hall (908 W. Jackson Street) to the parade start and from the parade finish back to the VFW. To take the bus, meet at the VFW Hall by 8:30 am. The bus will leave at 8:45 am SHARP!

Note: you must approach VFW from Jefferson Avenue to West Street to Jack- son Avenue, as Jackson will be closed to the east by the carnival.

Or, if not taking the shuttle, meet us by 9:15 am on Mill Street, East of Naperville North HS. The drop off point is at the northeast corner of the high school.

Coffee, donuts and water will be available at the lineup. The Parade steps off at 10:00 am and runs to Naperville Central High School.

PICNIC:
A Post-parade picnic and lunch sponsored by the St. Raphael Council 14171 for all Sir Knights, Knights and families will be provided at the VFW. Bring a dish to share if you wish.

Throughout the year, the assembly participates in many miscellaneous events such as the Last Fling. Watch for future opportunities to volunteer as needed.



4th degree uniform

Uniform Raffle

During each exemplification of the 4th Degree, our assembly sponsors a uniform raffle where the winner is provided a choice of a uniform (no sword) or a cash award of $500.00.

Winners do not need to be present. Tickets are sold at $5.00 each.

Uniform Assistance

The assembly also has a uniform assistance program to help Sir Knights purchase their uniform by spreading out their payments in a payment plan interest free.
